What's the number one thing people wish their small dog could do?

What's the number one thing small dog owners wish their dog could do? If you said, "talk," you're correct. That answer is in response to shelovepets asking their Facebook and Instagram followers to finish this sentence: I wish my dog could _ _ _.

Seventy-six of those who commented wished their dog could talk to them. Those who chose to elaborate as to why they want their dog to talk mentioned how wonderful it would be if their dog could tell them when he wasn't feeling well. Others just wanted to know what's going on in that furry little head.

Next on the wish list? Pet parents want their small dog to live forever. No explanation needed there. Who wouldn't want their dog to live forever, or at least as long as their human?

Out of nearly 200 responses, some were quite entertaining. Three people wished their dog could get a job to help out with the cost of toys and treats (and probably vet bills).

A few people wanted their dog to poop outside, instead of on the floor, or learn to use a toilet. Another owner wanted her dog to write our her menu so she could stop guessing what her pup wants for dinner.

Surprisingly, only one person mentioned wanting their little dog to bark less.

One wish that made us laugh out loud was, "Stop hiding biscuits under my pillow." Instead of sweet dreams, someone might be having crunchy dreams.

In case you're wondering, both Facebook and Instagram users ranked talking as their number one wish.
